Federal Office

Die Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe e.V. is the umbrella association of around 120 organizations and establishment in Germany. It represents the interests of people with HIV/AIDS publicly as well as in the fields of politics, economics and medical research.

Our most important tasks include educating people about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections.

In a successful division of tasks with the FederalCenterfor Health Education (BZgA), we specifically target the social groups that are especially at risk for HIV/AIDS.

 

 These include:

  • men who have sex with men
  • people from other parts of the world where HIV is particularly widespread
  • people who inject drugs
  • prostitutes who live in poverty or are addicted to drugs
  • people in prison or detention

We support and enable self-help activities among these groups and for people with HIV.

Along with their Federal Office, the DAH also offers education, advanced and continuing education. Target groups include their members, self-help groups and others who are active in this field.

They also publish material (brochures, leaflets, postcards, posters, advertisements and specialist books) that is tailored to their target groups in content, style, motif and design.
