Telephone Counseling
Aidshilfe’s telephone counseling service can be reached at 0180 33 19411 from anywhere in Germany. You can reach us from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Sundays from 12 pm to 2 pm. You don’t have to give your name when you call.
Our counselors are experienced Aidshilfe staff members from across Germany. They have undergone intensive training and are always up to date with the latest developments.
The counselors are available to answer any questions you may have about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. They are also happy to give you information about:
- finding personal counseling in your area
- where you can have an HIV test
- treatment called post-exposure prophylaxis, or PEP, if you think you have been exposed to HIV (see also In case of emergency )
- AIDS service organizations, self-help groups, HIV specialist doctors and other help in your city or region.
A call to our telephone counseling line costs 9 cents per minute from German landlines, and a maximum of 42 cents per minute from a cellphone. The counseling itself is free of charge.
